Finally, the first issue of Snapshot undergraduate student journal is out! This journal was written, reviewed, and edited by students of the Humboldt Language Centre.

We want to thank everyone who worked with us on this issue and put a lot of effort into making it a success, especially the authors who submitted their work. We are very pleased with the result and you can download a pdf of the journal here or by clicking on the image below.

The publication process

After receiving all the submissions, we started to peer-review every article. We provided feedback and suggestions to the authors and then edited the articles together.

Finally, we put all the edited submissions together into one document to create the final version, printed one copy to check the layout, and sent it off to the printers.

Our reflections on the process

We, the editors, loved the process of putting together this journal.

Goodbye, farewell

Now that we have finished the first issue, it is time for us make way for the next group of editors, as there is another Student Journal course planned for summer semester 2022.
