At last the second issue of Snapshot academic journal is out! Snapshot 2022 was written, reviewed, and edited by students of the Humboldt University Language Centre, and we would like to thank everyone who helped us along the way.

As student editors and contributors, we had the chance to experience every step of the publication process, and this will help us in the future when we submit papers for publication to an academic journal. Furthermore, we also developed a greater understanding of the peer review process. 

When the writing and correcting process was done, the submissions were gathered into one document and this was sent it off to the printers! What you see below is the final product of one semester’s work (click on image below for a pdf of the journal).

It was a very special feeling to hold the printed edition of Snapshot in our hands at the end of the course, something that was worth waiting for. 

If you are interested in participating in next year’s 91078 Student Journal course, feel free to contact course leader Mr Walsh to get more information. Also, look out for the course in the C2 section of the HU Language Centre website in summer semester 2023! 

We wish the next group of editors and authors the best of luck next summer creating the journal and are looking forward to reading the next issue of Snapshot.
